The teams split the series the previous year, with each team winning on its home court. The Heat have an overall record of 32-39 against the Lakers in regular season play, with a 22-14 home record and a 10-25 road record.
Regarding his return to the Los Angeles scene, Heat forward Jaime Jaquez said, “I definitely felt and heard the love from the people in the crowd.” For me, it was like playing at home.
