Orel Mangala, a midfielder for Nottingham Forest, is available at Stade Rennais, who have “entered the race” and “submitted an official Jonalist Florian Plettenberg reports that they have extended an offer to Nottingham Forest for a six-month loan with an obligation to buy for approximate €25 million plus add-ons. Mangala has been strongly linked to an unexpected departure from Nottingham Forest this month, reportedly told he can leave by new manager Nuno Espirito Santo, who hasn’t used him much since taking over. Several European clubs have expressed interest in signing him, and Nottingham Forest is willing to make a deal if they can agree on terms.
Now that Plettenberg has announced that Stade Rennais has entered the race and made an official offer for the player, Stade Rennais can be added to the list of potential suitors.
They want to loan the Belgian player until the end of the current campaign, but there will be a purchase obligation of €25 million plus various add-ons.
Owner of Nottingham Forest Evangelos Marinakis, who “demands more” and has a “high opinion about the player,” hasn’t been tempted to sell by that as of yet.
It’s unclear what amount he is looking for, but it appears he isn’t ready to take Stade Rennais’ offer just yet. This is good news for Napoli and Juventus, who are’still involved’ in the Nottingham Forest man’s current three-horse “open race.”
