Nottingham Forest made a £22 million offer to sign Juventus defender Federico Gatti Before the summer transfer window

During the summer transfer window, Nottingham Forest attempted to acquire Juventus’ Federico Gatti, a defender.

In an attempt to strengthen their defense, the Reds made an offer for the player that was approximately £22 million.

Forest wanted to trade Gatti, but Juventus turned down their offer and decided to hold onto him. The player joined the Old Lady on loan for the 2022–2023 season after moving to the Old Lady from Frosinone in 2022. Forest wants Gatti With Gatti now regarded as a member of the Juventus team, it is unlikely that Forest will make a January transfer for the center back. Tuttosport claims that Forest had the player marked as a target, but Massimiliano Allegri stood in the way. He has made 12 appearances for Juventus in the 2023–2024 season.

Gatti has made 39 appearances for Juventus in total and surely, he will be keen to establish himself at the club. Forest might have been able to sign the player had he not performed so well during a pre-season tour of the US. It was there where Allegri decided to keep him following some fine performances. Forest well-stocked at centre-back The Reds landed Murillo during the summer transfer window, whilst Andrew Omobamidele was also added to the Forest ranks. Felipe, Moussa Nikhate and Willy Boly have played big roles this season, with Joe Worrall and Scott McKenna also at the club. Gatti now looks to be a part of the team at Juventus and it’s unlikely he will be leaving in January.
