The Saskatchewan Roughriders have bolstered their roster by signing four American wide receivers—Kalija Lipscomb, Dohnte Meyers, Jake Parker, and Kendall Watson—and Canadian linebacker Jaxon Ciraolo-Brown.
**Kalija Lipscomb** (6’1″, 201 lbs) returns to the Roughriders after attending their training camp and spending part of the 2023 season with the team. An undrafted free agent in 2020, Lipscomb had stints with the Kansas City Chiefs, Green Bay Packers, and Tennessee Titans. During his collegiate career at Vanderbilt University (2016-2019), he played 45 games, amassing 198 receptions for 2,356 yards and 22 touchdowns. Notably, in 2018, he led all SEC receivers with 87 receptions, marking the fourth-best single-season total in Vanderbilt’s history.
**Dohnte Meyers** (5’11”, 186 lbs) participated in rookie camp with the Atlanta Falcons following the 2023 NFL Draft. He played two seasons at Delta State University (2021-2022), recording 1,542 receiving yards and 13 touchdowns over 24 games. In 2022, Meyers secured Second-Team All-Conference honors in the Gulf South Conference. Prior to Delta State, he spent two seasons at Presbyterian College, where he tallied 54 catches for 671 yards and seven touchdowns.
**Jake Parker** (6’1″, 210 lbs) was part of the Roughriders’ 2023 training camp. He previously played three seasons at Howard Payne University (2019-2021), where he appeared in 25 games and accumulated 123 receptions for 2,282 yards and 21 touchdowns. Parker also contributed on the ground with 19 rushes for 138 yards and a touchdown, and on special teams with 14 kick returns for 200 yards and 15 punt returns for 207 yards and a touchdown. His standout season came in 2021 when he led the American Southwest Conference with 1,113 receiving yards and 13 touchdowns, earning him the title of Conference Player of the Year.
**Kendall Watson** (5’10”, 183 lbs) saw action in four games for the Roughriders in 2023, recording 17 receptions for 154 yards. He played five collegiate seasons at Samford University (2017-2022), where he made 167 receptions for 2,064 yards and 14 touchdowns over 47 games. In his senior year, Watson achieved career highs with 1,034 receiving yards and 10 touchdowns, earning Second-Team All-Conference honors.
**Jaxon Ciraolo-Brown** (6’0″, 200 lbs) was selected by the Hamilton Tiger-Cats in the eighth round (73rd overall) of the 2022 CFL Draft and attended their training camp. He played four seasons at the University of British Columbia (2018-2023), participating in 26 games and recording 161 tackles, eight tackles for loss, two sacks, four interceptions, and one forced fumble. In 2023, Ciraolo-Brown was named a Canada West All-Star at the strong-side linebacker position.
