Pitso Mosimane finally set to take over as Kaizer Chiefs’ next coach.

Kaizer Chiefs: Deal agreed? Pitso Mosimane vs Nasreddine Nabi

Kaizer Chiefs and there next head coach have reached a deal – in principle. So, will it be Pitso Mosimane or Nasreddine Nabi?

Weeks of speculation have gone by as the race for the Kaizer Chiefs hot seat heats up.

Locally, PSL icons Benni McCarthy, Manqoba Mngqithi and Amakhosi legend Ace Khuse have come up. Internationally, Raul Caneda, Rui Vitoria and Alexander have all been linked with the club. Now, the club has agreed a deal in principle with their next coach. So, let’s find out who he is.

CHIEFS AGREE DEAL IN PRINCIPLE FOR NEW COACH

Nabi and Chiefs have agreed to a deal, in principle at least.

Moreover, he is believed to be close to signing for the Soweto giants. Interesting, Kaizer Motaung is the man at the forefront of negotiations.

“Chiefs are so serious about landing their target Kaizer Motaing Sir himself is leading negotiations from the club’s side,” the publication wrote.

Therefore, as things stand, Nabi is the favourite. So, he is expected to sign a deal soon that would see him become the new head coach of Amakhosi. However, he must still finish the season with AS FAR. His side trail former Orlando Pirates coach Josef Zinnbauers Raja Casablanca by one point heading into the last round of action.

IMPLICATIONS OF NEXT APPOINTMENT WILL BE HUGE

The next Chiefs coach will come with his own technical staff. Meaning, several staff members are at risk of being replaced.

Ultimately, Amakhosi will have a new technical staff accompanying their new coach. Irrespective of who is appointed. This sees all of these Amakhosi coaches facing likely exits. It must be noted that Nabi has not put pen to paper as yet. Meaning, nothing is official yet. As things stand, it will come down discussions over technical staff members. This was the same reason the deal fell through last season. Remember, Nabi was about to be appointed before Molefi Ntseki was announced. So, it’s not over until there is a signature on that coveted Chiefs coaching contract.
