Nottingham Forest have to give up on the possibility bringing the former West Ham United man back to the Premier League.

That’s because today’s Il Messaggero, relayed by La Lazio Siamo Noi, explains that after ‘rejecting’ approaches from Steve Cooper’s side, Fiorentina and Santos, he will extend his contract at Lazio.

In fact, the report says the Brazilian is set to sign a new deal until 2028, worth €3.5m per season. It adds this has been confirmed by the Italian club’s sporting director, Angelo Mariano Fabiani.
