Although Ben Nelson signed a new contract with Leicester this week, he is still not a settled member of the team, so things could still go wrong and he could go on loan in January.
Â
Nelson (19) is still very young and could benefit from a new challenge to advance in his career. A move to a League One club would be ideal. Nelson has already spent time on loan with Doncaster Rovers and Rochdale, adding valuable experience to his career.
Â
The U.21 captain will likely face more and tougher competition by playing League football rather than as a member of the Leicester development team, but we’ll have to wait and see. No club is mentioned.Â
He has been involved in the first team squad at a few occasions, getting his first opportunity and making his full first team debut in the game in the Carabao Cup vs. Tranmere this season, coming on as a sub for James Justin in the 82nd minute. He has also been on the bench on three other occassions this season, being in the first team match squad in the games against Hull, Cardiff and Huddersfield.
Believe  will be one to see in the Leicester first team as the years progress, but hopefully gaining more experience, being shipped out on loan as he hopefully will follow players such as Hamza Choudhury, Kasey McAteer, Harvey Barnes, Ben Chilwell and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, who all have progress via loan spells at other clubs.
His new contract will see him with Leicester until 2027, so this is is a promising man that hopefully will be a top first teamer in the years to come.
