REAL DEAL: The new manager of Nottingham Forest has officially signed Iván Alejo of Cádiz CF, making it his first player signing since taking over.

A day after firing Steve Cooper, Nottingham Forest announced Nuno Espírito Santo as their new manager on December 20.

Iván Alejo of Cádiz CF is one of the managers’ targets, according to Marca, who said over the weekend that the manager is searching for new hires in January.

Mundo Deportivo, who then provides the most recent information on this case, supports Nottingham Forest’s interest in the winger.

Reportedly, Nuno Espírito Santo and his team have “set the goal of signing” the 28-year-old in the winter transfer window in order to strengthen their position in the fight against relegation. Currently sitting two points above the danger zone in the standings, Nottingham Forest is ranked 17th.
The Spaniard’s contract expires in 2025, and as of right now, Mundo is unaware of the possible price the Premier League team will have to pay to keep him next month.

For the time being, Cádiz does not support approving a transfer for Alejo. Nonetheless, the report states that the La Liga team would “undoubtedly” investigate a “good offer” if one were to come in. Mundo does not define what constitutes a “good offer
