Harry Toffolo is a player who spent most of last season on the fringes at Nottingham Forest behind Brazilian loanee Renan Lodi.
However, this season the 28-year-old has been given a more consistent first-team place by Forest boss Steve Cooper.
Toffolo has seized the chance, contributing two assists in Sunday’s 2-1 triumph over Aston Villa.
In a £10 million deal with Lewis O’Brien, the former Huddersfield Town defender joined the team in the summer of 2022. Toffolo appeared to be an add-on to the transaction, but he has since proven everyone wrong.
Toffolo has been a model professional
The left-back has bided his time whilst being on the sidelines, whilst never complaining about game time or requesting a move.Toffolo was given the opportunity to play away at Crystal Palace due to injuries and bans in the full-back positions. He did well against the crafty young Jesurun Rak-Sakyi.
