Goalkeeper Wayne Hennessey and wing-back Wes Burns have withdrawn from the Wales squad to play Latvia on Monday.
The pair are out of the squad through injuries, and Wales will have to play bottom of the group Latvia without them.
The Red Dragons beat Latvia 1-0 in March courtesy of a goal from striker Kiefer Moore, but have lost their last two Euro 2024 qualifiers to Armenia and Turkey.
Manager Rob Page is facing heavy pressure after registering just one win in his last 13 games in charge, despite leading Wales to their first World Cup in Qatar.
A post on the official Wales Twitter account about the injuries said: ‘Wayne Hennessey and Wes Burns will not be travelling with the squad to Latvia due to injuries.’
Ipswich fullback Burns came on as a second half substitute in Wales’ 0-0 draw with South Korea but Nottingham Forest goalkeeper Hennessey did not make an appearance.
Leicester’s Danny Ward started against the Koreans and he is expected to keep his place for the important clash with Latvia.
Joe Morrell and Kieffer Moore are already suspended for a game Wales need to win to keep alive hopes of automatic qualification for next summer’s Euro 2024 finals in Germany.
Luton Town skipper Joe Lockyer and Leeds winger Daniel James are also both ruled out through injury.
