Sad News: Ex-Salernitana Coach gave current manager four point to use against Club owners before leave moves…

Legendary former Inter Milan forward Antonio Cassano feels that current Nerazzurri captain Lautaro Martinez is capable of scoring thirty goals per season.

Speaking on Christian Vieri’s Twitch channel, via FCInterNews, Cassano also defended the performance of Alexis Sanchez against Salernitana.

Martinez underlined his value to Inter with his remarkable second half performance against Salernitana over the weekend.

The Nerazzurri captain came off the bench to score a whopping four goals.

Clearly, this is not something that Martinez is going to do every match.

But the Argentine has already scored nine goals in Serie A, and ten in all competitions.

Moreover, Martinez has been Inter’s top scorer in each of the past two seasons. The 26-year-old has certainly shown that he is capable of breaking the twenty-goal barrier.

In the view of Cassano, though, the Inter captain can go even further.

He believes that Martinez can be a striker who hits thirty goals in a campaign.

Cassano: Lautaro Martinez Can Be A 30-Goal-A-Season Striker

“For me, Lautaro is a striker who can score thirty goals a season,” Cassano argued,

The former Roma forward also spoke about the match of former Arsenal and Manchester United forward Sanchez against Salernitana.

“He played a very good match,” the former forward argued of Sanchez.

“He hadn’t started a match in forever, he didn’t have much preparation.”

“I remember he played a brilliant match, worthy of 9/10, that he played against Sampdoria in Genova,” Cassano recalled of Sanchez.

“But then he missed a penalty and ended up drawing. So he was getting 4/10 in the player ratings.”

Cassano noted of Inter that “They had a good match against Salernitana.”

“Between Salernitana and Empoli, that’s two wins. They’re not falling into the same routine as last season.”

He added that “They have to have a consistent season.”

Now Milan are keeping pace with them. But Inter virtually have two teams,” he said in terms of the Nerazzurri’s squad depth.
