SAD NEWS: Rangers star John Souttar has been dropped from the Scotland National Team squad after sustaining yet another injury.

Rangers star John Souttar has been dropped from the Scotland national team squad after sustaining yet another injury.

The Ibrox center-back, 27, has had his career badly disrupted with injury problems, and the defender is one of several sick notes in the Rangers squad.

Rangers is still unsure of the exact time frame for John Souttar’s injury, which again affects his availability for the Scotland National Team. Souttar was last seen on the bench in the team’s 2-1 Scottish Premiership victory over Hearts.

The defender’s only seven caps for the nation have been caused by injuries, and now John Souttar will not be adding to that total in the forthcoming European Championship qualifiers against Georgia (A) and Norway (H).

Steve Clarke has included teammates Ryan Jack and Robby McCrorie from Rangers in his squad; however, John Souttar was left off of the Scotland call-up.

The Scotland National Team roster did not include John Souttar.
The scenario with John Souttar, who hasn’t been able to obtain a regular run in the team since moving to Ibrox, has Rangers supporters fuming.

In addition, both new manager Philippe Clement and Rangers supporters are growing weary of the team’s constant injury problems.

Over the past few seasons, Rangers have signed a number of football players that have a history of injuries, and it has severely harmed them.

John Souttar, who spent extensive time on the sidelines earlier in his career due to Achilles injuries, is perhaps one of the standout examples in a squad of crocked stars.

Kemar Roofe stands out as another example of a player who has been unable to get himself fit consistently, while fellow defender Filip Helander, now tearing it up with Sweden, spent the overwhelming bulk of his Rangers career on the sidelines.

John Souttar will have hopes of joining the Scotland National Team at the European Championships in Germany next summer, but injury continues to hamstring what was an initially promising career.
