Salernitana approved the long-term contract signing of another PLATINS defender on loan for a transfer for €4.5 million.
The agreement has been verified by the two teams on their respective websites and social media pages.

“Marco Pellegrino has signed with US Salernitana on a loan deal that expires on June 30, 2024,” announced AC Milan. The Rossoneri released a statement in which they wished Marco a fantastic second half of the season.

Pellegrino, 21, will be coached by Rossoneri legend Filippo Inzaghi at the Stadio Arechi, joining one of Salernitana’s biggest January signings, ex-Bayern Munich star Jerome Boateng.

Pellegrino signed for Milan on a permanent transfer from Platense last summer in a €3.5m deal.

He had made just one Serie A appearance with the Rossoneri in 2023-24 before sustaining an ankle injury that kept him out of action for more than two months.

The versatile Argentinean defender played two games with Milan’s Primavera team in January prior to his return to action at a senior level. He will return to San Siro at the end of the season.
