Serie A side Salernitana are now set to sack manager Pippo Inzaghi, who has failed to turn around the club’s fortunes.
Salernitana, a Serie A team, is about to fire manager Pippo Inzaghi because he hasn’t been able to improve the team’s performance.
As Salernitana’s second manager of the year, Inzaghi took over for Paulo Sousa, who had done a commendable job of keeping the team afloat during the previous campaign.
La Gazzetta dello Sport reports that after Salerno’s defeat to Empoli last night, Inzaghi’s time there is expected to come to an end. The team, who have just 13 points from 24 games, has made the decision. In 16 games, Salernitana has only won two under Inzaghi’s leadership.
In the coming hours, the departure will become official, and Davide Ballardini is the front-runner to take over.
