Sky News: Lakers offer three players massive contracts that will increase their chances of winning the championship.

Your 16–14 Although the Los Angeles Lakers’ NBA 2023–24 season hasn’t gone precisely as expected thus far, they have managed to maintain their position in the Western Conference standings. This team has proven its resilience by persevering through all of the injury problems they have faced this season. But this season, the team will probably need to make some changes at the trade deadline. Zach LaVine, an All-Star guard for the Chicago Bulls, has been linked to them for a while, but he might not be the solution to this team’s issues. Though they want to create a big impression, LA just needs to play better guard. D’Angelo Russell, the point guard, is as gone from the team as they come.

There is a solution in Washington for this team’s point guard problem, which will need to be addressed. That would be Wizards guard Tyus Jones, who could assist in resolving some of the Lakers’ issues. Jones could easily lead Los Angeles’ second unit and has long been regarded as one of the better backup point guards in the league. Although he won’t fix every problem for this team, he would definitely help them. Jones is averaging 12.3 points, three rebounds, 5.4 assists, and 1.2 steals per game in his 28 games with the Wizards this season. However, Jones’ greatest asset is his skill as a three-point shooter

Jones is a career 36.2% three-point shooter and is shooting 42.6% from beyond the arc this year. Jones is also a very good defender, which may help the Lakers with their perimeter defense problems.

The team would benefit if they could pull off a trade for Jones. He also has a contract that is about to expire, which the Lakers front office would probably love to have. In the grand scheme of things, this move might be just what the Lakers team needs.
