LeBron James, the All-NBA point forward for the Los Angeles Lakers, is reportedly interested in being the next project of multi-time Academy Award winner (no, really) Zack Snyder.
A farming moon named Veldt is in danger from the Imperium, the Motherworld’s armed forces, in this fictional galaxy depicted in the film series. The primary protagonist, Kora, is a “long way away from her former life fighting for the Imperium, the brutal interstellar royal empire bent on controlling the galaxy.
James would help create a lot of publicity for the space opera film, similar to Space Jam 2, though it’s unclear exactly what part he would play.
Since it’s also scheduled for release in April 2024, LeBron would need to shoot it in the middle of the season, which is improbable.
The second installment’s teaser has already been made public, indicating that James’s role, if any, would be largely incidental given how much of the plot has already been developed.
James may decide to pursue acting and other entertainment-related endeavors after retirement, but there’s very little likelihood that he’ll show up in this movie.
