sky news: Rangers Ben Godfrey adressed the team as Everton boss Sean Dyche offers big update on defender……

Ben Godfrey is still part of Everton manager Sean Dyche’s plans, despite rumors that the defender could leave in January.

Godfrey has only played in a single Premier League game this year—a brief cameo at the conclusion of the Toffees’ 2-2 draw with Sheffield United in September—and has frequently been left off the field for the Toffees.

The 25-year-old has been linked to Tottenham Hotspur, Rangers, and the Scottish Premiership as of late. However, Dyche expressed his satisfaction with Godfrey’s training camp performances and his belief that he was prepared to play a role.

“He’s doing terrifically well for us,” Dyche said. “He’s training very well; he’s staying sharp and ready. “The hardest thing lately has been the games program and trying to keep the players who are not starting on the first team game-ready, but he’s going along well, he’s super fit, and he’s ready.

“I think it’s fair to say it’s tough. The two center halves are playing very, very well, and most people accept that. Sometimes, as a center-half, I was one; it’s tough. You want to play, but there’s an honesty about most center-halves, and when they look at someone who is playing well, you’ve got to sit tight. He’s a very good player, but he’s looking at two center-halves who, at the moment, are in very, very good form.”
