Terry Rozier, the guard for the Miami Heat, had a difficult two weeks.
The fact that his knee injury occurred right before the NBA All-Star break made his four-game absence seem much longer. Rozier made a significant comeback on Tuesday, scoring 19 points in a 106-96 victory over the Portland Trail Blazers.
It was the fifth straight win for the Heat.
“Since the All-Star break, I’ve been eager to reconnect with these guys,” Rozier stated in the Bally Sports postgame interview. “Everyone plays really hard, and these guys are unique. I’m well again at last.”
Rozier made 7 of 14 field goals, two of which were three-pointers. In addition, he had two blocks, four assists, four rebounds, and one steal.
For me, it wasn’t a vacation, Rozier declared. “It was attempting to align my leg correctly, but maintaining my body’s straightness is more crucial. We’re hoping to be healthy for the remainder of the campaign.”
The Heat are hoping to start playing their best basketball at the proper time, with Rozier back to normal and Tyler Herro getting closer to playing again after missing two games due to a knee injury. After winning nine of the previous eleven games, they currently occupy the fifth position in the Eastern Conference rankings.
