In Week 15, the Dallas Cowboys (10-4) were defeated by the Buffalo Bills (8-6) at Highmark Stadium.
Before hurting his wrist, Bills defensive tackle Jordan Phillips had one tackle for a loss, one sack, one quarterback hit, and one pass defensed during the 31-10 thrashing. In the second half, the veteran left the game and never came back.
On Monday, December 18, Bills head coach Sean McDermott disclosed to reporters that Phillips had surgery right away following the game. McDermott stated of Phillips, “We’ll know more as we continue here the next couple of days,” adding that he is being evaluated on a week-to-week basis.
Even though having surgery right away following a game seems concerning, Phillips doesn’t appear very upset. The seasoned tackle teased the Cowboys on Monday after agreeing to a one-year, $3 million deal with the Bills this offseason. “Living life on the edge like I’m 237 #bigboy,” he wrote alongside a video he posted of himself sacking Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott.
