The New York Knicks, who are searching for facilitators, have expressed a strong desire to have backup guard assistance. Immanuel Quickley’s injury has left the Knicks desperately short-staffed in the offensive department. Other teams are expressing interest in some of the names they are considering, though.
Instead of pursuing Zach LaVine, the Los Angeles Lakers will examine two of the Knicks’ top targets.
The Lakers are reportedly interested in Tyus Jones and Collin Sexton, per ESPN’s Dave McMenamin.
“You’re going to look at the Lakers searching the market for a point guard, and Tyus Jones of the Washington Wizards is a guy you can look at.” He is very efficient and 27 years old.
McMenamin stated that Collin Sexton is another person who interests them.
Collin Sexton is another guy you should consider. Aged 25, physically fit, and fiercely competitive, he averages roughly 17 points and 4 assists per game. He is primarily a combo guard, but he is undoubtedly connected to the Lakers because Rich Paul, his agent, also represents LeBron James and Anthony Davis. Although those players aren’t on the same level as Zach Lavine or Pascal Siakam, they might be able to save this team in the closing stages, particularly with Gabe Vincent sidelined.
