SKY NEWS: The Los Angeles Lakers reached an offer to Zach LaVine of the Chicago Bulls, who agreed to their terms.

The Los Angeles Lakers have a slight interest in Chicago Bulls player Zach LaVine.

LaVine, a former UCLA basketball star, has been connected to Los Angeles in a number of ways over the past year. The Lakers were one of four teams this season that he expressed interest in, and he stated last season that they were his ideal destination.

Nevertheless, a lot of things must come together for his wish to come true.

One of the main obstacles standing in the way of a LaVine to Los Angeles trade right now is the Lakers’ insistence on keeping Austin Reaves, a crucial player, out of any possible trade

Chris Haynes stated this week that “I think Austin Reaves will have to be included in any deal involving the Lakers.”

“The Lakers have informed me that they have no interest whatsoever in moving Austin Reaves.”

“A talk with Chicago is likely to include a request for Austin Reaves (who isn’t eligible to be traded until January 15) for the Lakers, who are also known to be interested in the Bulls’ DeMar DeRozan and Alex Caruso,” he wrote.

“However, it appears that the Lakers are still just as dedicated to Reaves as they were when they offered him a $56 million, four-year contract last summer.”

It will be intriguing to observe the future paths taken by all those involved.

Reaves is obviously liked by the front office and a fan favorite.

He isn’t an All-Star, though. LaVine is.

Between now and the deadline, will the Lakers decide not to include Reaves in a LaVine trade? We’ll find out in time.
