Despite playing a competitive brand of basketball, the Lakers were unable to overcome Boston. Despite the loss, Anthony Davis gave it his all, scoring 40 points and grabbing 13 rebounds. Ultimately, Boston’s offensive assault proved to be too much for Los Angeles to handle.
There is no doubt that this Lakers team can make it to the postseason. Los Angeles is still seeking to get better in a few crucial areas, though. They still have a lot of issues to resolve before they can seriously contend for a championship.
Lakers going ahead
Overall, the Lakers have lost five of their previous six games. The games since Los Angeles won the NBA In-Season Tournament have not been particularly impressive.
Before too long, Los Angeles should still be able to turn things around. Although there are some doubts about their roster, they still have enough talent to compete fairly.
They’ll have a few days off before playing their next game on Thursday against the Charlotte Hornets. After that, on Saturday, the Lakers and Minnesota Timberwolves will square off.
