Harry Souttar will be wishing a late move to Rangers had materialised having been left out of the Leicester City squad on Saturday.

No ins and no outs for Rangers with Glen Kamara’s move to Leeds – completed the day before deadline day – proving to be Rangers’ last piece of business.
There were rumours though as Stoke City attempted to bring Ben Davies back to English football.
The Potters wanted to reunite Davies with his former Preston North End boss Alex Neil but Rangers rejected a loan bid.
The Daily Record noted that Rangers did want to move Davies on and bring in Leicester City defender Harry Souttar as a replacement.
Rangers seemingly didn’t like the Davies deal though and that means Souttar is stuck at Leicester, no doubt wishing his move to Glasgow had come off…

The Foxes faced Hull City at the King Power Stadium on Saturday afternoon and when the lineups came out, Souttar was nowhere to be seen.
Leicester lined up with three centre backs as Wout Faes, Jannik Vestergaard and Callum Doyle all started.
Young defender Ben Nelson made the bench but there was no room for Souttar as Leicester fell to a 1-0 defeat.
New Leicester boss Enzo Maresca doesn’t appear to fancy Souttar and that has been clear so far this season.
The Australian hasn’t played a single minute of league action this season and hasn’t been in the squad for four games in a row despite costing £15million back in January.
Any thoughts of Souttar being reintegrated after the window shut have so far proven to be wide of the mark, with Maresca still not a fan.
Maybe Leicester’s defeat could bring Souttar back into the picture but that still feels like a long shot.
Souttar now faces the very real danger of being frozen out until January, at which point Rangers may well return with a new offer.
For now though the giant defender will just have to work hard to change Maresca’s mind, surely wishing that a move to Rangers had been pushed through on Friday.
