The club president finally accepted Nottingham Forest’s £22 million summer bid for a Juventus defender.
The Reds made an offer of around £22 million for the player as they sought to bolster their rearguard.
Forest wanted to trade Gatti, but Juventus turned down their offer and decided to hold onto him.
The player joined the Old Lady on loan for the 2022–2023 season after moving to the Old Lady from Frosinone in 2022.

With Gatti now regarded as a member of the Juventus team, it is unlikely that Forest will make a January transfer for the center back.
Gatti has played for Juventus in 39 games overall, so it goes without saying that he will be eager to make an impression on the team.
If the player hadn’t done so well on a US preseason tour, Forest might have been able to sign him.

Jean-Louis Leca, a 38-year-old French goalkeeper, has re-signed with Lens through 2025, the club has confirmed. The 38-year-old has reached an agreement to stay for an additional two years at the Stade Bollaert-Delelis. Since Brice Samba from Nottingham Forest joined Les Sang et Ors, Leca’s playing time has been reduced.
The former Ajaccio goalkeeper has been with Lens for less time than he did for Nottingham Forest, but he still has a lot of influence in the dressing room and is regarded as one of the team’s leaders off the field. Leca frequently takes on the position of mentor for the team’s younger members. The seasoned stopper has previously piqued Lorient’s interest.
