SkySports News: Frank Lampard is no longer in the running to take over as the next manager of Rangers…..

Frank Lampard is no longer in the running to take over as the next manager of Rangers, according to Sky Sports News.

The former Derby County, Everton and Chelsea manager was widely considered to be one of the leading candidates to succeed Michael Beale at Ibrox.

However, in an update provided live on air by Adam Leventhal and Jasper Taylor on Friday evening (6 October), it was reported Lampard is now no longer being considered.

However, in an update provided live on air by Adam Leventhal and Jasper Taylor on Friday evening (6 October), it was reported Lampard is now no longer being considered.

If previous reports are to be believed, Frank Lampard, Philippe Clement, Pascal Jansen and Kevin Muscat were the four men on the Gers’ shortlist to succeed Beale.

Assuming Lampard is now out of the running, then it leaves three candidates left to choose from.

It is perhaps no coincidence that reports of Lampard being out of the running come on the same day that Clement has flown into Glasgow to hold talks

Either way, there has now been a development of some sort and it looks like a decision on the other three will be made next week once all those talks are held.

Many will just be pleased that Lampard, who has hardly impressed in his past couple of jobs with Everton and Chelsea, will not be the next man in the Ibrox dugout.
