Talksport Update: Philippe Clement Illustrate Five moment VAR Most Review despect the glorious win at Hibernian……

Hibs boss Nick Montgomery didn’t hold his punches back after suggesting that poor refereeing hindered his side in their 4-0 loss to Rangers on Saturday afternoon.

And it was his nemesis on the touchline in Philippe Clement that really stirred up the Englishman after he interfered with play without caution. Rangers ran out deserved winners after a brace from Abdallah Sima, a strike from distance by Nico Raskin and a late strike from Cyriel Dessers blew Hibs away to keep Rangers third in the league and put pressure on Celtic to get a result away at Hearts on Sunday.

But despite the manner of the defeat, Montgomery suggested that Scott Wright had fouled Joe Newell in the build up for Raskin’s goal that effectively settled the tie – and he didn’t hold back in his scathing criticism of Clement, labelling his involvement in controlling a ball before it had gone out of play as ‘illegal’ as his Hibs side slipped to ninth in the table.

He said to BBC Scotland: “The second goal, I really genuinely believe it is a foul on Newell. I’ve seen it again, i feel he has come through the back of the achilles to kick the ball. I honestly thought VAR would pull that up but it wasn’t to be.”
