Turnbull unperturbed by contract situation
David Turnbull, a midfielder for Celtic, claims he is not thinking about his contract status. Following Saturday’s 3-0 victory over Ross County, the 24-year-old was questioned about his situation and responded, “To be honest, I just leave it to the club and those that are involved with it.” His current contract expires at the end of the current campaign. During their Viaplay Cup semifinal matchup over the weekend, Dylan Vente, a player for Hibs, is thought by Aberdeen goalkeeper Kelle Roos to have attempted to buy a penalty. The Dons player challenged the Hibees forward, which caused him to fall, but Roos stated, “I think I should have just tackled the ball because it was hard to keep it in play.” However, I was never in close proximity to him; he was only attempting to purchase one. He caught the ball, but I didn’t catch any of him in the process. I told him, “You’ve tried to do me in,” because he is Dutch. I knew it, too.
Shankland feels Ranger’s penalty claim was soft.
Lawrence Shankland, the captain and striker for Hearts, feels that Rangers was given a “soft” penalty call in yesterday’s Viaplay Cup semi-final.On minute fifty, James Tavernier scored from the penalty spot after goalkeeper Zander Clark of the Jambos was found to have fouled Danilo. According to Shankland, “I felt it was soft.” Though I haven’t seen it again, I believed Danilo was sort of heading down and reaching out to Zander (Clark). I’m not sure if Zander’s claim that they come together when he extends his arms was sufficient to justify the punishment. That might have also been soft, but I haven’t seen ours either.”

The Rangers manager, Philippe Clement, is amused by the way the team’s European roster is assembled.
