The CEO of Salernitana, Maurizio Milan, has officially confirmed Liverani’s being fired.

Director Walter Sabatini is also in jeopardy, but Salernitana CEO Maurizio Milan affirms that the club is “evaluating” the possibility of firing coach Fabio Liverani.

The team has been all but doomed for some weeks as they lie at the bottom of the Serie A standings.

With nine rounds remaining, the position got worse after today’s 1-0 home loss to Lecce, which dropped them 11 points outside the safety zone.

CEO Milan said to DAZN, “There is great regret, especially for our fans who never abandoned us.

Over the course of the following few hours, the President will reflect and be evaluated; coach Liverani will also be evaluated. One telltale clue is that he isn’t here to respond to your inquiries.

Since Liverani is now their third coach of the season, it is difficult to see how another change in leadership might be beneficial.

From the beginning of the season until his firing on October 10, Paulo Sousa oversaw one Coppa Italia victory, three Serie A draws, and five losses.

From then until February 11th, Pippo Inzaghi held the position. In all competitions, he had three victories, four draws, and ten losses.
