The Dallas Cowboys  to sign star free agent linebacker Shaq Leonard after he was released by the Indianapolis Colts. It was a move that would have added much-needed talent to a linebacker unit that could use some help in Dallas. Unfortunately, when everything was said and done, Leonard chose to sign with the NFC East division rival Philadelphia Eagles instead.

No one can blame Leonard for wanting to sign with the Eagles. Philadelphia also gives him a chance to compete for a Super Bowl, but he has previously worked with head coach Nick Sirianni in Indianapolis.

Despite the reasoning for picking the Eagles over the Cowboys, Jerry Jones spoke out about the situation. He’s ready to face Leonard this coming Sunday on Sunday Night Football.
