The Eagles’ security chief and linebacker Dre Greenlaw have apologized to each other for their sideline fight otyn Sunday that resulted in their dismissal.
This enables him to be remembered as the “Big Play Dre” who, in Seattle as a rookie in 2019, made a goal-line tackle to help his team win the division and earn the top seed in the playoffs.
However, he is also the one who has overreached with regard to the penalties for unsportsmanlike behavior. However, that does not automatically make him “Dirty Dre.”
Speaking for the first time since they were ejected from the 49ers’ 42-19 victory in Philadelphia due to a sideline altercation with the Eagles security chief, Greenlaw stated on Wednesday, “Just because you tackle a little physical doesn’t make you a dirty player.
Via third-party middlemen, Greenlaw said he apologized to Eagles security chief Dom DiSandro. “He seemed like a genuine guy, a guy everybody loved in the building,” he continued. To be honest, I detest that it even got to that point. I’ve never witnessed or participated in anything like that in a game.
There was a rumble after Greenlaw suplex-slammed Eagles receiver DeVonta Smith onto the Eagles sideline. DiSandro went up to Greenlaw, who was given a penalty for his tackle and still believes he was wrongfully dismissed for taking a left-handed swipe at DiSandro’s face in retaliation.
