Trayce Thompson is heading to the other megamarket following multiple seasons with the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Thompson, an outfielder, was signed by the New York Mets to a minor-league contract on Thursday. You’re invited to spring training as part of the deal.

Thompson, 32, is the younger brother of NBA player Klay Thompson of the Golden State Warriors. Since making his major league debut in 2015, he has played for five different organizations, spending three different stints with the Chicago White Sox and two separate stints with the Dodgers. To this point in his MLB career, he has been very much a journeyman. Thompson’s sixth Major League team will be the Mets.

Despite being a part of many memorable viral moments, Thompson still finds it difficult to generate consistent MLB production; in 72 games last  season, he hit a pitiful.173. The Mets are hoping that Thompson can demonstrate to them in the spring that he can contribute, as they have been signing other well-known family members this offseason.
