The Los Angeles Lakers finally acquired a $37 million frontcourt partner in exchange for Anthony Davis.

The Los Angeles Lakers have no immediate plans to make any significant trades. Alternatively, they might decide to sign smaller contracts in order to better bolster LeBron James and Anthony Davis with a more balanced roster.

Their run to the Western Conference Finals the previous season serves as evidence that it is feasible.

Kevin O’Connor of The Ringer wrote on January 30 that “they should pursue Kelly Olynyk if they do that again in the coming weeks.” “Olynyk is precisely the kind of big man who can play both with and without Davis in the lineup, providing Ham the flexibility he needs to dictate matchups against opponents with his frontcourt lineup.

Depending on the kind of demand Olynyk faces across the league. However, given that he will soon become a free agent, Gabe Vincent’s potential worth once he recovers and future Lakers seconds would be extremely competitive.

The Lakers’ cap sheet would increase by approximately $2 million as a result of O’Connor’s potential trade package. However, it would eliminate the remaining $22 million and more than two seasons from Vincent’s contract.
