Much of the 2023–24 NBA season has been an uphill battle for the Los Angeles Lakers.

But in their last two games of the season, the Lakers have played incredibly well, defeating the Boston Celtics twice in a row

Winning against them is undoubtedly a terrific way to boost the Lakers’ confidence, especially considering both teams are enjoying dominant runs in the Eastern Conference.

Speaking of which, Magic Johnson, a legend of the team, expressed his thoughts on the Lakers’ winning run on Twitter using his official account.

“It’s great to watch the Lakers win two straight games!” Johnson sent out a tweet.

After praising the Lakers’ excellent performance in the last two games, the five-time NBA champion wants the Purple and Gold to continue this terrific play ahead of Kobe Bryant’s statue unveiling.

Prior to Kobe Bryant’s statue being unveiled, the five-time NBA champion wants the Lakers to keep up their fantastic play. He has praised the team’s performance in the last two games.

On February 8, 2024, the Lakers will formally unveil Bryant’s statue.

Johnson anticipates that the Lakers will triumph over the Denver Nuggets and Charlotte Hornets in their upcoming games.

For their next game against the Nuggets, the Lakers are not the clear favorites to win, even though they are the favorites to defeat the Hornets.

However, given that the Nuggets thrashed the Lakers in the 2023 Western Conference Finals, a Lakers victory on the day that Kobe Bryant’s statue is unveiled would be a magnificent homage to the late player.
