The Los Angeles Lakers officially approved the trade of Austin Reaves for an All-Star like Lauri Markkanen.

As the February 8 trade deadline approaches, the Los Angeles Lakers have been linked to a number of players. However, Lakers insider Jovan Buha says the Lakers would be willing to trade Austin Reaves for an All-Star player such as Lauri Markkanen.

It has been widely anticipated that the Lakers will pursue players such as D’Angelo Russell and future draft picks in their package deals. The Lakers refused to give up Reaves for Murray and shielded him during trade negotiations with the Chicago Bulls when they were considering Zach LaVine.
