Lamar Odom suggests Lakers lineup change to boost struggling team.
Lamar Odom, the legendary Lakers player and two-time NBA champion, has suggested a new starting lineup for the struggling Los Angeles Lakers that he thinks could help the team win. Due to the Lakers’ current four-game losing streak, Odom made the suggestion to rearrange the starting five.
Many people, in my opinion, are still uneasy about Darvin Ham’s rotations. A switch up in the lineup seems sensible to me. At the same time, I would like to see AD, Vanderbilt, Hachimura, and LeBron. They can just switch; they won’t even need to move. Perhaps using Reaves for a different ball handler.
LeBron James and Anthony Davis would be paired with Austin Reaves, Jarred Vanderbilt, and Rui Hachimura in Odom’s suggested starting lineup. In an attempt to infuse the team with new life, the starting lineup will now include players with greater size and defensive presence.
Cam Reddish, Taurean Prince, and D’Angelo Russell are all expected to be moved to the bench. Odom emphasized Austin Reaves’ offensive prowess in particular. Reaves has been playing well lately, scoring at least 20 points in six of his previous seven games.
After winning the In-Season Tournament to kick off the season with a bang, the Lakers’ play has significantly declined. Since the tournament final, they have only won one of their last six games, leaving them with a 15–15 record. In the fierce Western Conference standings, the team has fallen to 10th place, casting doubt on their chances of making the playoffs.
In an attempt to address the team’s recent struggles and give them a fresh start to salvage the season, Odom has suggested that the Lakers go through the play-in tournament in order to secure a playoff spot.BN B
