For one day, the New York Mets had a relatively quiet day and game, a 3-2 win over the Arizona Diamondbacks on Thursday that snapped a three-game skid. With a 23-33 record, however, the Mets’ direction is clear: they are not contenders, and they will likely be major sellers as July 30 trade deadline approaches.
