The Miami Heat and Danilo Gallinari have officially reached an agreement before the Heat approved the club’s best offer.

Following Thursday’s trade deadline, forward Danilo Gallinari was waived by the Detroit Pistons.

The Miami Heat had their final chance to improve before the postseason through the buyout market, as they remained silent during the trade deadline on Thursday.

Danilo Gallinari, a former forward for the Detroit Pistons, is one name mentioned among them. In 32 games this season, he is averaging 7.3 points on 45.1 percent shooting for the Washington Wizards and Pistons.

My sources and @JLEdwardsIII tell me that Danilo Gallinari, a forward, is being waived by the Pistons. Gallinari is anticipated to start meeting with free agents on Friday, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic.

Gallinari, who stands 6-foot-10, demonstrates his ability to make baskets from beyond the arc. This season, he is shooting 35.5 percent. The 35-year-old veteran can play well with Jimmy Butler, Haywood Highsmith, Bam Adebayo, and other big men on the Heat roster. Over the course of his 13 seasons, Gallinari has played for seven different teams, giving him experience with a wide range of teammates and coaches.

With veteran Kevin Love, who was acquired by the Cleveland Cavaliers, the Heat enjoyed success in the buyout market of the previous year. Love, who averages nine points and 6.2 rebounds on 43.3 percent shooting, has been a reliable role player for the team.

The Heat should seize the chance to bring a seasoned forward into the lineup now that Gallinari is starting to meet with teams.
