The Miami Heat confirmed what came out of an X-ray on Jimmy Butler’s foot after their blowout loss to the Utah Jazz.

The good news for the Heat is that the foot X-rays came back negative, suggesting that the injury is not particularly serious.

In his 23 minutes of action against Utah, Butler recorded eight points, two rebounds, and one assist. In 33.6 minutes per game this season, Butler is averaging 21.0 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 4.5 assists.

In the Heat’s loss to the Jazz, Bam Adebayo led the team with 28 points and 16 rebounds, while Tyler Herro chipped in with 25 points, six rebounds, and six assists. Regretfully, their output was insufficient to help Miami win. Miami’s four-game winning streak was ended by the defeat.

Butler hadn’t played in a game in well over a week until the one against Utah. Due to a calf injury, he had missed Miami’s previous four games against the Golden State Warriors, Atlanta Hawks, Orlando Magic, and Philadelphia 76ers. Regrettably, his comeback to the gaming scene was brief.

Going ahead, the Heat must hope Butler’s foot injury won’t keep him out of action for an extended amount of time. With a 19-13 record, they are presently ranked fifth in the Eastern Conference rankings.

This season, the Heat have been severely impacted by injury concerns. Aside from Butler, injuries have also sidelined Adebayo, Herro, and Duncan Robinson, all of whom are important players. The Heat have had an excellent start to the season in spite of all the injuries they have faced.

The Heat should have a chance to go on a real run and move up the Eastern Conference standings once they can get everyone healthy and playing together.
