The Miami Heat have officially moved to the status of a $163 million star trade destination.

Over the past fifteen years, the Miami Heat have enticed a number of celebrities, like LeBron James and Jimmy Butler, to move to South Beach. Donovan Mitchell, the star of the Cleveland Cavaliers, is another who might follow suit.

In a piece published on April 5, Eric Pincus of Bleacher Report outlined the reasons why the Heat would consider trading for another team.

In general, The Heat are a desirable location. Sunny weather, no state income tax, a front office with long tenure, and one of the best head coaches in the league in Erik Spoelstra are all features of Miami. Mitchell and Heat All-Star Bam Adebayo are rumoured to be close friends.

Pincus went on to discuss what the Heat could be able to provide the Cavaliers in exchange.

“Picks aren’t very abundant in Miami. However, following the draft, it may trade its first-round pick in 2024, as well as its first-round selections in 2029 and 2031, and as many as four second-round picks.

“In any trade for Mitchell, the Heat must surrender one or two of Terry Rozier, Duncan Robinson, and Tyler Herro. Jamie Jaquez Jr., a rookie wing, would surely be coveted by Cleveland as well.Additional candidates for salary matching are Nikola Jović, Josh Richardson (minimum), Kevin Love, Orlando Robinson (minimum), Nikola Jović, and Caleb Martin.
