The Vikings announced on Friday the additions of Shaun Sarrett as assistant offensive line coach and Henry Schneider IV as assistant to the head coach.
Sarrett comes from the Los Angeles Chargers organization, where he spent the last three seasons as the team’s assistant offensive line coach. The Chargers were top 10 in total offense in all three of the seasons Sarrett was on staff in Los Angeles.
Sarrett started coaching in the NFL in 2012 with the Pittsburgh Steelers and served as the offensive line coach there at the end of his tenure. With the Chargers, he helped develop standout offensive linemen in center Corey Linsley and tackle Rashawn Slater, both of whom have made All-Pro teams.
Schneider, meanwhile, comes from the Las Vegas Raiders organization, where he spent the past five seasons, most recently serving as the manager of coaching operations.
He previously served as the football operations coordinator and as football operations assistant. Schneider previously spent two seasons with the Seattle Seahawks.
Friday’s hires are the latest this offseason for the Vikings, who also recently hired Marcus Dixon as their defensive line coach and added outside linebackers coach to assistant head coach Mike Pettine’s title
