After a stressful 9-0 loss in game one of the NLCS, the New York Mets roared back with a 7-3 game two win against the Los Angeles Dodgers thanks to a towering leadoff home run from Francisco Lindor, Mark Vientos’ heroic grand slam and five solid innings from Sean Manaea.
“It was an important game,” manager Carlos Mendoza said in a post-game press conference. “Especially after the way we played last night…it was a quick turnaround but we’ve done that the whole year. We get punched in the face and we continue to find ways to get back up and it will continue to be that way.
Next up, Mendoza’s clutch club returns home to Flushing’s Citi Field for games three, four and five on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
“Now we get an opportunity to go home and play three…in front of our fanbase,” Mendoza continued. “Expecting (it) to be packed and electric and loud. This is going to be fun.”
If you want to be electric, loud and fun at the House that Grimace Built, last-minute tickets are still available for the trio of high-stakes contests.
At the time of publication, the lowest price we could find on seats for any one NLCS Citi Field home game was $167 before fees on Vivid Seats.
While that may sound expensive, our team found that NLCS Citi Field prices started at $256 just five days ago. Therefore, if you waited until the ninth inning to purchase tickets, you can now save almost $90 (and maybe even afford an extra burger or two at the Shake Shack in centerfield).
