The Oklahoma Sooners scored one of their biggest recruiting wins ever in the Class of 2025 by signing five-star offensive tackle Michael Fasusi. Fasusi was the number-one offensive tackle in the class and a top-10 recruit according to 247Sports and is reportedly already pushing to earn starting time this season.

Now, the Sooners are looking to double-dip with five-star offensive tackles, hotly pursuing another elite recruit in the 2026 recruiting class.

Felix Ojo, a Texas native who is the number-two offensive tackle in the 2026 class and the seventh-overall player, put the Sooners in his top six programs and has lined up an official visit. Oklahoma will host Ojo on June 20th, his last visit after an itinerary that includes visits to Ole Miss, Ohio State, Michigan, and Texas.

Having the opportunity to be the last host before a potential commitment isn’t a bad thing if you’re the Sooners, who have a chance to leave a lasting impression on Ojo. Ojo has said he will likely announce his commitment before the beginning of the 2025 season, so the Sooners will have to pull out all the stops to convince him and his family of the program.

If there’s one thing going in Oklahoma’s favor in his recruiting, it’s the prowess and reputation of offensive line coach Bill Bedenbaugh. Bedenbaugh is one of the best, if not the outright best, offensive line coaches in college football, and recruits know it. Speaking to On3, Ojo praised Bedenbaugh for his ability to develop future NFL talents.

“Coach Bedenbaugh and his development stand out. It is a place you develop as an offensive lineman. If you go to OU and you do your job and play, you will be developed into a first round pick as an offensive lineman.”

How Oklahoma balances Fasusi, Ojo, and elite four-star 2025 recruit Ryan Fodje at offensive tackle will be interesting to see, but word has it that Fodje has been pushing for playing time inside at guard instead of at tackle as the Sooners look to put out their best five up front.

If Oklahoma could secure Ojo’s commitment, it would be the first time in Oklahoma history they have landed two five-star offensive tackles in back-to-back classes.

New general manager Jim Nagy has spoken about improving the trenches and affirming Oklahoma’s talent up front on both sides of the ball to stay competitive in the SEC. Landing Ojo would be a key step in keeping that vision.
