The Chicago Bulls may have the greatest collection of assets in the league at the moment.
Billy Donovan’s team appears to be at the end of its current run, and it appears only a matter of time until they completely reassemble their roster.
It goes without saying that many teams, including the Miami Heat, would be more than happy to trade for their stars.
In light of this, NBA insider Jake Fischer crafted a fictitious trade package to bring Alex Caruso and Zach LaVine to South Beach.
the Bulls might think about picking up Tyler Herro’s salary and Kyle Lowry’s in addition to picks for their starting guard duo.
Though Herro is younger and earns a more affordable salary, they would theoretically be getting a player who is very similar to LaVine.
The Bulls would have some financial flexibility due to Lowry’s expiring contract, and picks are always valuable when starting over.
That might not be the best deal they could get for their players, though, as some think Caruso alone merits a first-round selection because of his defense.
Nevertheless, given their ongoing struggle to compete at the top level, it appears clear that LaVine is no longer fully committed to the team. Maybe it would be best to just start over.
It is for another discussion to decide whether or not Arturas Karnisovas and his government deserve the authority to oversee the reconstruction
