Manchester United target Sofyan Amrabat has held talks with Liverpool, talkSPORT understands.
Fiorentina midfielder Amrabat has been on United’s radar all summer, but talks are yet to develop, with the Red Devils wary of Financial Fair Play restrictions.
Amrabat starred in the Morocco team that reached the World Cup semi-finals in Qatar and Liverpool are looking to swoop in after missing out on the signings of Moises Caicedo and Romeo Lavia.
talkSPORT also understands Liverpool have revived their interest in Bayern Munich midfielder Ryan Gravenberch.
The Reds are hoping to persuade Bayern to sell Gravenberch having become increasingly desperate to rebuild their midfield.
They’ve signed Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai from Brighton and RB Leipzig respectively but later said goodbye to Fabinho and club captain Jordan Henderson. They also let James Milner, Naby Keita and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain leave earlier in the summer.
Caicedo looked set to join the Reds after they agreed a £111million fee with Brighton but the Ecuadorian wanted to join Chelsea, a move he sealed earlier this week.
Jurgen Klopp then turned his attention to Lavia and Liverpool agreed a £60m fee with Southampton for him.
But like Caicedo did to them, Lavia snubbed Liverpool for Chelsea and is expected to complete his move to Stamford Bridge imminently.
