Liverpool will reportedly pay €40m (£35m) to sign Torino defender Perr Schuurs, who is now expected to leave the Serie A side this summer.
According to La Stampa via TuttoMercatoWeb, the Turin-based side have placed a £35m valuation on the Dutch defender, with Torino looking for a good fee in order to sign a suitable replacement for Schuurs, who could be bound for Liverpool.
Lauded by Target Scouting as an ‘aggressive’ defender, Schuurs fits the bill for what Liverpool are looking for in a centre-back this summer, and Torino’s asking price for the 23-year-old is more than suitable for a Premier League giant like the Reds.
Liverpool have to make second offer for Schuurs as soon as possible
Schuurs is quickly emerging as a top target for Liverpool as the Reds prepare to make their third signing of the summer. And with a £35m transfer fee now standing between Klopp and his man, a second bid should be on it’s way as soon as possible.
As we know, the sooner transfer targets are in the building at Liverpool the better, and with pre-season starting next week, capturing Schuurs could be massive in Klopp getting his plans into place to challenge for the Premier League top-four and beyond.
