Unexpectedly and shockingly, the Miami Heat have officially agreed to sign a nine-year NBA contract.

Delon Wright, who is shooting 39.3% from the field and 36.8% from three-point range, has played in 33 games for the Washington Wizards this season. He averages 4.1 points, 1.8 rebounds, 2.5 assists, and 1.1 steals per game.

Wright, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, will sign a contract with the Miami Heat and accept a contract buyout with the Wizards.

According to Wojnarowski: “Washington Wizards guard Delon Wright’s agent Greg Lawrence tells ESPN that the player has agreed to a contract buyout, which will allow him to sign with the Miami Heat after clearing waivers. An additional trustworthy veteran in the Heat’s lineup.
