According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, Kyle Lowry has agreed to accept a buyout from the Charlotte Hornets and will now sign with the Philadelphia 76ers. Following his trade for Terry Rozier with the Miami Heat in exchange for a first-round pick, Lowry arrived in Charlotte. Lowry can now join a team he has been linked to for almost his entire career after the rebuilding Hornets negotiated a buyout, realizing they had little reason to hang onto a veteran like him.

A little extra ball handling was also required in Embiid’s absence to cover for rising All-Star guard Tyrese Maxey. Lowry is able to offer both.
Lowry is well past his prime at 37. He only averaged 8.2 points per game in 37 games for the Heat this season, which is the lowest since he started playing regularly back in 2011. But as the postseason of 2023 demonstrated, he is
