Both individually and collectively, Kwesi Adofo-Mensah and Kevin O’Connell will be put to the test greatly in this year’s NFL Draft. During their time with the Minnesota Vikings, this is by far the largest decision each of them has had to make. However, they also own the No. 23 pick, and if they offer the Arizona Cardinals (who own the fourth overall pick) or the
It will cost more than those two draft positions, though, if they want the second- or third-best quarterback. They would have to include a first-round pick or possibly a second-round pick in 2025. It will be up to Adofo-Mensah to determine which quarterback is best for the Vikings once O’Connell decides who he wants to work with for at least four seasons. Hopefully, the two men will agree on the player and be correct in their assessments.
The division rival Chicago Bears are expected to select USC’s Caleb Williams as their first overall choice. Williams will not be sent to their division, even if the Bears decide after receiving that pick that Williams is not their type and they finally opt to trade the pick.
