Burnley have reached an agreement to sign Troyes attacker Wilson Odobert, according to reports from France.

Website Foot Mercato writes that the Ligue 2 side have just accepted the Clarets’ offer for the player.

It’s claimed that Burnley offered €11m for the transfer, and that was enough for Troyes to let him go.

The French club had signed the player from Paris Saint Germain on a free move a year ago. So even though they’re making a big profit with his sale, they still had him tied in

Odobert is just 18, but already has some decent experience in professional football. Troyes had been playing in the first division last season, and he had 32 appearances, with four goals and two assists. That was his first season in action among the big boys, as PSG didn’t give him the chance of a debut.

The youngster has been playing as an attacking midfielder and on both wings, so that’s certainly a versatile option that Vincent Kompany will be glad to have in the squad next season.

Troyes’ relegation to Ligue 2 definitely helped Burnley get a cheaper deal.
