Why Whites quickly settled Leed united super star January move…..

Jaidon Anthony acknowledges that his family was given a “big shock” when he transferred from Bournemouth to Leeds United during the summer transfer window.

On deadline day, the 23-year-old moved to Elland Road on a season-long loan as part of a transaction that saw Luis Sinisterra move the other way.

Anthony, who has made three appearances for the Whites since joining, says the transfer came out of the blue for his family.

It was a big shock for them on deadline day,” he told The Official Leeds United Podcast [29 September, 11m 21s].

“They didn’t really know what was happening right up until the end. They were sat by the TV waiting but they’ve been really supportive and excited.

Losing Sinisterra to Bournemouth so late in the window was a blow for Leeds, but they did at least manage to bring in a replacement in Anthony.

The Arsenal academy product has had to be patient since arriving at Elland Road, with all three of his appearances so far coming from the substitutes’ bench.

Anthony made the most of his most recent cameo appearance as he scored the final goal for Leeds in their 3-0 win over Watford last weekend.

The Hackney ace is already a popular member of the squad and he will likely have a big part to play the longer the season goes on.

It may have been a transfer that came rather late in the window, but it is good to see Anthony has quickly settled in and made an impact at Elland Road.
